Level Designer

Overview
Arkane Studios is looking for its next Level Designer that will be in charge of translating game design into playable and engaging maps and missions. In addition to talent and passion we want a designer who is good at solving problems, collaborative and loves the kind of games that we make.
Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain level design documentation, including mission intentions and high-level concepts
- Create level blockouts in collaboration with architects and environment artists
- Implement gameplay scenarios in levels using specialized tools (world editor, scripting systems)
- Collaborate with all development disciplines to drive a mission through the iterative process, from inception to final
- Analyze and fix level design bugs in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Creative and great sense for what makes a level engaging
- Strong problem solving ability and technical know-how
- Ability to take a task and run with it, working with production and other disciplines to execute on a vision
- Good time management skills and actively collaborative attitude
- Experience with a AAA game engine and its scripting system (UE4, CRYENGINE, idTech, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English
- Must submit work samples with online application
Preferred Skills
- 3+ years of game industry experience
