Level Designer (Intermediate/Senior/Principal)

IO Interactive is currently looking for a strong and talented level designer to join Project 007, a brand new James Bond video game to be developed and published by IOI.
Featuring a wholly original Bond story, players will step into the shoes of the world's favourite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story. As a level designer with us at IO Interactive you will be an instrumental part of crafting engaging experiences in the world of 007. You will be involved in all aspects of the production from initial design of content and features to finalizing the in-game implementation of these. You will in most cases own specific features and you’re expected to always strive for high quality and setting new standards for entertainment in games.

What you will do:

• Design, build, and script levels using IOI’s proprietary tools
• Collaborate with game designers and programmers to ensure mechanics and systems are properly utilized in levels – from prototyping to implementation
• Collaborate with content teams to ensure that the playability of the level and the graphic elements support each other
• Create and maintain level documentation for the wider team
• Perform extensive level playtesting, reviews, and iteration.
• Manage and prioritize bug lists.

• Accomplished Level Designer with experience working in the video games industry (4+ years) and having produced work for at least 1 shipped title.
• Strong understanding of level design principles and theory.
• Experience with creating levels for third-person (or first-person) action games.
• Experience with 3D level editors
• Positive, enthusiastic, team-oriented attitude.
• A desire to grow, learn, and improve as a designer

• Architectural knowledge
• Traditional art skills
• Experience with programming and/or scripting languages
• Experience with 3D modelling software
• Familiarity with and enthusiasm for IO Interactive games
• Understanding of the video game development industry
