As a Level Designer here at Gram, you’ll find yourself in a cross-functional role, working with developers, game artists, gameplay analysts, and the marketing teams, to create engaging, original games. You’d be expected to work with many styles of games, anything from minimalist puzzlers to engaging IAP titles, and to participate actively in their development. Using the extensive data we have on hand, you’d be expected to drive level design and to ensure that we produce the optimal games for our players.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll own the level design process from ideation, concept creation, layout, and puzzle design utilizing the existing items, mechanics, and tools as well as creating new mechanics and items to be utilized within the levels, coming up with ideas and designs for new tools to be used in the level design process and coordinating final art polish. You’ll be working with data scientists, artists, game developers, creative leaders, and other designers to create playful environments using your imagination that will adhere to the vision for the game.
Requirements
- Proven Level Design experience in puzzle and adventure games, methodical approach to designing and implementing engaging and vibrant levels in mobile games, and with F2P business model
- Proficient with spreadsheet software (Excel, Google sheets), can make models, can analyze existing data, make meaningful decisions utilizing data, and visually present results
- Has strong knowledge of game progression, balancing, and pacing
- Work with art, creative leadership, and other designers to create environments that adhere to the vision for the game
- Take constructive feedback from repeated playtest to “find the fun” and iteration to craft quality levels
- Solicit, organize, and distill feedback from within the team and the broader organization
- A passionate fan of the puzzle genre and understands what makes their favorite maps and levels great. Applying these learnings to new levels in our world.
- Natural storyteller, through the game environment itself. Understanding that storytelling is a function of visual elements, gameplay moments, and the interaction of systems and environments in novel ways that continually surprise and delight the player
- Self-motivated, driven, resourceful, independent
- Has excellent communication skills in English
It would also be great if you have -
…..some experience with a programming or scripting language, especially C#
…..experience with the Unity3D editor and Adobe Photoshop
…..excellent understanding of using modular level design tools
