Job Title : Level Design Intern

Your Mission

As a Level Design Intern at Treyarch, you will be a member of our Level Design team and have the opportunity to work on content for Call of Duty. You will start by learning our proprietary Engine, then develop maps of your own creation, from 2D top downs to 3D levels, and finally progress to our final stage where you collaborate with the Level Design team on actual production maps.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Collaborate with art and design to develop unique gameplay experiences and environments that adhere to our gameplay standards
• Design, create, and iterate on level maps from paper prototype to map completion
• Work with the team Lead to identify and resolve gameplay issues
• Participate in company-wide playtests and provide feedback

Intern Profile

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with video game development in professional, indie, or academic settings
• Ability to work as part of a team with a strong understanding of the value of collaboration
• Ability to take constructive feedback on your work and articulate constructive feedback on the work of others
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop/ Illustrator
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Warzone and Zombies gameplay and levels
• Familiarity using any 3D level building tool including Unreal, Unity, Max/Maya, etc.
• Willingness to learn. This internship is an opportunity for you to learn and grow as a designer, be open to new ideas and feedback. This is essential to AAA game development

• Expertise in architecture
