Level Design Director

Criterion Games is an award-winning studio based in Guildford we are looking for a Level Design Director to join us on our adventure.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with Game Designers to set the Level design direction for open world gameplay features.
• Lead level design meetings with considered comments and thoughts to the concepts being discussed
• Work with programmers, artists and designers to create route design which proves core gameplay concepts.
• Be a champion for Level Design in world building collaborations with our Art team.
• Work with our Frostbite engine to create and refine Level Design experiences that are of a high-quality.
• Mentor our less experienced level design talent

What We're Looking For:

• Someone with Lead Level or Director experience working with 3D engines and tools with the ability to implement and manipulate content.
• Extensive experience of level design fundamentals and constraints.
• You will be comfortable setting direction for your design peers and lead.
• Some understanding of visual scripting.
• Passion for the racing genre.
• You will need to critique the content of peers in a group environment.
