We are Fatshark
We are a Swedish game development studio located in Södermalm, Stockholm. With about 150 experienced and skilled employees we are developing and publishing titles for both consoles and PC. Our most recent game is the critically acclaimed title Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and we are also working on our next game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
The Internship
We are looking to offer an internship within Level Art!
As a Level Artist intern you will have the opportunity to learn the full cycle of game development and hone / practice your skills within level art & design aswell as assist our team in finalizing our amazing levels with a high-quality visual flair for our anticipated upcoming game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
As an intern at Fatshark you will be a part of the team just like any of us, but under the supervision of a mentor, developing awesome games and working closely with colleagues from different disciplines.
At the end of your internship you will most likely have something to show off in a shipped Fatshark product and proudly say: "I made dis!!".
Responsibilities
- Building believable spaces with strong compositions and environmental storytelling within the 40K universe
- Work with environment, VFX, concept, and lighting artists to create inspiring and memorable locations
- Collaborate with the level designers to maintain gameplay requirements
Qualifications for internship
- Technical knowledge of a 3D package similar to unreal
- Understanding of art fundamentals and design (including an understanding of composition and color)
- Good communication skills and ability to receive and act upon feedback
- Passion for game development
- Currently attending a school / education that offers internship within Game Art/Design (minimum of 20 weeks)
