Who We’re Looking For:

Skillz is looking for a passionate and talented Legal Assistant to join our Legal team! Working in tandem with counsel and business partners, you will be the foundation of the team. Everything you do impacts how effective our team is at achieving our goals. Your daily life will include managing requests, correspondence, and contracts; organizing corporate records and streamlining the administrative process for Legal. You are a self-starter, love teamwork, and thrive in ambiguity. You’re diligent when it comes to reviewing legal documents and contracts in the first instance, assisting with various corporate and compliance initiatives, and building processes to help us operate more efficiently. This role is based in our San Francisco headquarters. Our Legal team is growing and the ideal candidate is organized, professional and committed to building the future of eSports!

Responsibilities:

• Manage contract administration, including intake of contract review requests and communicating and project managing legal requests through Jira software
• Own and organize all corporate records
• Stock administration and related query workstream
• Review of employment letters based on form templates
• Update corporate templates as instructed by needs of the team and outside counsel
• Develop, own and optimize legal processes by utilizing project management tools, contract management software and more; you’re a creative problem solver.
• Partner with other departments to support the needs of the legal team

Your Skillz:

• At least 1 years of experience as a legal assistant or contract administrator;
• Experience with corporate matters, litigation, or intellectual property is preferred;
• Previous legal support experience, preferably in-house environments;
• Excellent written and communication skills, including keen attention to detail;
• The ability to synthesize and organize complex requests with ease and to multi-task in highly demanding, deadline driven environment
• Exceptional judgment and logical reasoning
• Professionalism and maturity; positive attitude
• Comfortable liaising with C-suite executives, outside counsel and business partners
• Demonstrated discretion handling confidential information
• Advanced knowledge of GSuite, Microsoft Word, Excel, DocuSign, and Adobe Acrobat
