We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join this fun, collaborative and people-first business. The Legal Operations division serves to inject a new "center of excellence" by implementing and using progressive systems and technologies, compelling strategies and goals, policies, procedures, training, communication, retaining talent, building strong cultures, and measuring performance. The Legal Operations Business Analyst will assist the Project and Solutions Manager – Legal Operations and the Senior Director of Global Legal Operations in the day-to-day analyst functions of the Legal Operations division. The successful individual will be involved in all the areas of the global legal team that facilitate the business of law and the four core functions of the Legal Operations division, which are: financial management, systems and technology, department operations, and human resources. The Legal Operations Business Analyst will work virtually, from almost anywhere within the United States. The ideal candidate will be proactive, efficient, highly organized, detail-oriented, discreet, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities. The role is an excellent opportunity to continue your legal experience with the rapidly growing field of legal operations on a friendly and dedicated remote legal team.What You'll Do
- Assist with financial management, vendor management, contract management, human resources, operations, systems and technologies, knowledge management, and project management
- Assist and/or lead the daily analyst functions of the Legal Operations division
- Assist with system administration of the contract management system, DocuSign CLM, the Ebilling system, LegalTracker, and the matter management system, eCounsel (collectively, the “Systems”)
- Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of Legal Operations policies and procedures
- Assist with the development, implementation, and updating of training materials
- Assist with technical support for the Systems
- Assist with producing and distributing project reports a
- Assist with creation and management of System templates
- Responsible for training internal and external System end-users
- Monitor and advise on adherence to defined KPI’s and SLA’s using metrics and reports
- Identify technology needs and simplification opportunities
- Interface with client stakeholders on a continuous basis
- Perform legal operations data analysis for department leadership
- Assist in the design and configuration of solutions
- Extract, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making
- Prepare monthly and quarterly Legal Operations presentations
- Ensure the integrity of data and efficiency of the Systems, including auditing data entry
- Responsible for compiling metrics and reports from the Systems
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 4 years’ legal experience at a law firm, in-house corporate legal department, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience is preferred
- Legal operations experience is preferred
- Self-motivated team player
- Ability to work remotely
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
- Efficient, detail-oriented and organized
- Excellent technology skills
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, metric-driven environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Ability to work autonomously as well as cross-functionally with other teams and to build effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Must possess a working knowledge of legal terminology and principles
- Advanced Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, DocuSign, and Adobe skills
