The Legal Counsel will partner with legal, business, and technical colleagues in the U.S., China, and E.U. to develop, implement and safeguard global strategies both in domestic and overseas markets. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities

• Support various legal matters in the US, including corporate governance, contract review and compliance assessment of business initiatives
• Support global legal compliance program and provide internal training/guidance to relevant teams
• Provide cross-region legal support and liaison with global legal professionals for global strategy
• Manage and cooperate with outside counsel

Qualifications

• Experience in the interactive entertainment industry preferred but not necessary
• JD from an accredited institution and state bar admission in good standing
• 8-10 years of relevant legal experience in law firm and in-house experience in interactive entertainment industry
• Global visionary and experience in multicultural working environment; excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from beginning to end, including development of detailed task timelines, and managing team members to those goals
• Effective management of outside counsel
• A strategic thinker who can leverage legal knowledge while being business-minded
• Ability to effectively work with global team members across multiple time zones
