Role Overview:
SIEE Legal & Business Affairs Department has a key role in advancing and defining the commercial strategy of the PlayStation® business in EMEA, as well as dealing with the commercial and legal aspects of all transactions and the enforcement of its IPs and brand protection.
The role will involve commercial and contract drafting, including advising, negotiating wide range of commercial and technology matters.
What you will be doing:
Advising, business partners in respect of commercial arrangements; drafting and negotiating agreements in areas including Technology, IT, Software development, licensing, Retail trading / Supply. For example:
- Services agreements
- Global framework agreements
- IT services and maintenance agreements
- Telecoms, network infrastructure, and carriage agreements
- Commercial technology licensing agreements
- IP/content licensing agreements
- IT outsourcing agreements
- Hardware and software supply agreements
- Trading terms / supply of services agreement
- SAAS agreements and software licences
- Platform access / integration agreements
- Software development and middleware agreements
- Company acquisition, disposal transactions and intra-company arrangements
- Ad hoc project work
- Supporting Senior L&BA team members
What we are looking for:
- Passion and enthusiasm for technology
- Upbeat and commercial approach to work
- Commercial contract drafting experience
- Understanding of current IT issues and developments, including in the areas of outsourcing or E-commerce
- Excellent written and oral communication skills along with an ability to develop and build good working relationships with other departments
- Creative problem solver
- Commercial acuity in performing an advisory role to all aspects of the business
- Knowledge/interest in the video-games industry
- Team worker with a sense of humour
- 1 yr. pqe+
