Epic's Education & Learning team provides accessible ways for current and aspiring creators to learn the real-time 3D tools and skills they need to be successful.
What you’ll do
We are looking for individuals that are passionate about creating engaging learning experiences and helping others learn technical skills. Ideal candidates have a background in technical writing, instructional design, teaching or education. For more technical roles we look for candidates that have experience using our tools in production.
In this role, you will
- Drive the prioritization and roadmap for platform functional and UX requirements based on business needs, marketing insights, user feedback and research, competitive intelligence, and trends in online learning
- Determine the need for vendors and consultants and lead the identification, selection, and contracting process
- Evaluate off-the-shelf products as well as custom development to determine best solutions to meet requirements
- Manage the relationship with technology vendors to set priorities and escalate issues to ensure appropriate level of service
- Manage new course launches in collaboration with the content development and localization teams
- Troubleshoot issues with login, system functionality, and UX working with vendors’ technical support, our in-house web team, and global teams to resolve
- Look for optimizations and improvements to both the learner experience as well as automate the back-end workflows such as authoring, publishing, reporting and localization, to achieve greater efficiencies and decrease costs
- Drive the growth and adoption of the platform both internally and externally, track and report on platform usage on a regular cadence
- Analyze trends and provide recommendations to grow learner adoption and engagement and improve user experience
- Ensure that platform processes and workflows are clearly defined and documented
- Communicate online learning successes, advocate priorities, issues, and roadmap to internal and external stakeholders on a regular and ongoing basis
- Work with other business units to leverage the learning platform accomplish other business
What we’re looking for
- At least 5 years experience in learning technology management and administration
- Direct experience working with a major LMS system such as Docebo, Skilljar, Litmos, or LearnUpon
- Experience with Javascript, API’s, HTML, and integrations with CRM, CMS, LMS, assessment systems, and online lab environments
- Experience with certification and badging systems, standards and best practices
- Working knowledge of e-learning authoring and development tools such as Articulate 360
- Familiarity with SCORM standards
- Understanding of design and development principles, best practices, learning theories, and how they vary depending on delivery method
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with various levels of an organization, including senior executives and ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally with a global team
- Someone who is user-focused, passionate, scrappy, solutions-focused, and innovative
