Your Mission
As a Learning Experience Designer at Activision, Blizzard and King you will play a pivotal role in building learning experiences for our internal talent team and employees! Your role will be focused on developing digital learning experiences for employees within our core learning management systems. You’ll work closely with studio and business unit executives, leaders and subject matter experts, in addition to industry-leading external partners, to design and curate digital learning blending content from both internal and external partners to meet the learning needs of our employees. The ideal candidate will have a blend of graphic design, user experience skills, and a learning background all specifically geared towards optimizing digital micro-learning experiences for career and skill development in the gaming industry. We are looking for the right person to be an integral part of this team and help to drive the long-term career success of employees at all levels across our company!
Responsibilities
User Experience Design:
- Partner with internal stakeholders, learning and development partners and leadership teams to complete a high-quality learning experience.
- Design and visualize user interface screens end-to-end within our learning ecosystem (SABA), driving the creation of navigational pages and blended learning content to optimize topics and experiences our users are searching for.
- Drive continued iteration and evolution of designs based on reporting functionality, user feedback and industry standard methodologies.
Graphic Design:
- Proven ability to design user-focused assets (graphics, banners, iconography, PowerPoint templates/decks, etc.)
- Craft learning experience artifacts to consult on and communicate possible learning solutions (flows, wireframes, prototypes, etc.)
- Basic webpage design skills including experience in embedding video, layouts etc.
- Work closely with our talent branding and visual design team to establish consistent visual identify and language that supports our employee experience across our talent ecosystem
Learning Design and Development:
- Understanding of learning management system software (ideally SABA) with a bias towards digital solutions that optimize digital learning at scale.
- Basic understanding of adult learning methodologies specifically focused on curating digital learning experiences w/ behavior and skill retention outcomes.
Success Factors
- Drive the user experience re-brand and re-design of our internal learning ecosystem.
- Build templates, designs and graphics for learning and development training artifacts across our learning and development team.
- Cultivate strong relationships across designated business units and teams; becoming the key partner for learning & development raphic design requests.
- Support the ongoing activation of core learning and development programming including (but not limited to) onboarding, upskilling and reskilling initiatives, executive development, goal setting and year-end conversations.
Qualifications / Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 5+ years professional experience in user experience or graphic design, preferred in a learning and development function.
- Expertise in learning technology including knowledge of learning management systems, HR core systems, content management systems and learning experience platforms.
- Proficient in multiple design tools (Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator), Sketch, Framer, Principle, etc.)
- Illustration skills vital to create UI screens, frames, borders, icons, etc.
- Strong independent project management skills, with the demonstrated ability to work through multiple, sophisticated and global design asks.
- Experience in user experience design w/ learning experience design background as a plus.
- A bias toward action and creative problem solving in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced work environment while completing multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Experience working with SABA Learning Management System (LMS) and/or Learning Experience Platforms preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) in related subject area, or relevant certifications
