Learning & Development Trainer

As an L&D Trainer, your job is to equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out their work activities effectively. You'll take a strategic approach to train, assessing the skills and knowledge within an organisation and determining what training is needed to grow and retain these skills. You'll either deliver the training yourself or arrange for a third-party trainer to do it.
List main duties and responsibilities
- Lead learning solutions through a complete training life cycle - needs analysis, mapping, design, development and delivery to address knowledge and skill gaps
- Collaborate with clients and Subject Matter Experts to conceptualize training programs
- Design blended learning solutions
- Design and expand training and development programs based on the needs of the organisation and the individual
- Facilitating learning sessions
- Onboarding training
- Developmental training
- Write content for blended learning and e-Learning formats
- Evaluate training programs from content to effectiveness
- Driving a culture of continuous professional development (CPD)
- Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers
- Help line managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
- Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses
- Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research
- Collaboration with HR, Resource team, and Recruitment in order to accommodate training needs
- Preparing reports concerning training activities to present to management
- Other duties as required
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in designing and delivering training (experience in the QA industry may be an advantage)
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written)
- Strong facilitation and employee engagement skills
- Solid understanding of adult learning methods and experience towards effective instructional strategies in instructor-led and/or blended learning environments
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Experience in working with a multicultural environment may be an advantage
- Developing engaging and effective training programs and activities
- Able to write training assessments and evaluate training effectiveness
- Preferably with knowledge in LMS
- Ability to manage multiple priorities or projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently and with teams
- Comfortable with learning new technologies and content
