Magic Leap is seeking a contract Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist to join our People Team. The Learning & Development Specialist will provide project management and light facilitation in support of learning programs.
The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a start-up environment, since our team is constantly defining new processes, programs, and solutions. They will also be experienced in working directly with internal clients to support needs and solutions in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
- Project Management of L&D programs, initiatives and learning events.
- Develops and assists in the creation of training materials, (e.g., presentations and participant materials, etc).
- Create, update and maintain learning communications, (e.g., emails, Wiki Posts, and learning systems).
- Make recommendations to enhance & improve processes.
- Maintain professional knowledge and experience.
- Identify issues and escalate as appropriate.
- Contributes knowledge and promotes a learning and teaching culture.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be independent, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and energetic start-up environment, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Skill in critical and creative thinking to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Ability to translate ideas into clear written and visual materials/communication.
- Ability to work in a team setting and be a team player.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Three to five years+ of project management and/or coordination or related experience.
- Preferred experience in corporate Talent Management/Learning/L&D/HR or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of business grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Experience working with Google products is a plus.
- Experience working with SuccessFactors LMS is a plus.
Required Education:
- Associates or Undergraduate degree in Business or HR related field.
Negotiations and Interactions:
- Interacts with team members and peers with ability to give and receive feedback.
- Professional interaction with internal clients.
- Light interaction with vendors.
Role in Strategy and Planning:
- Supports People Team purpose and priorities.
- Supports L&D Strategy.
