We’re looking for an exceptional Learning and Development Manager to help drive solutions and strategies based on adult learning theory and design methodologies to ensure the development and success of our programs. You will partner closely with key partners externally and internally to the company, including IDP (Inclusion, Diversity and Purpose Team), HR People Partners, HR Operations, Employee Experience, and more. Additionally, this person will help Discord to prioritize it’s biggest learning needs and programs to help us scale.

What you'll be doing:

Assessment, learning design, implementation, facilitation, and creating measurement strategies.
Lead programs to support our management and employee populations.
Consult, coordinate, manage change and execute on the responsibilities that bring our L&D programs to life (e.g. enhance learning retention and strategy on existing programs).
Regularly report progress updates on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to inform thoughtful decision making for various L&D programs.
Advise, execute and deliver on internal process improvements to drive effectiveness and efficiencies for the L&D team.
Partner with vendors to create exceptional learning experiences.
Serve as the main point of contact with program participants, stakeholders, and team to field questions and support our learning programs.
Manage enrollments and attendance for live, self paced and virtual learning sessions.

You'll Thrive In This Role If...

5 - 6 years experience as an L&D manager/partner or a related position in L&D at a fast paced/hyper growth organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with excellent time-management skills.
Strong project management skills to drive initiatives to completion and manage fast-changing priorities.
Outstanding interpersonal skills to build relationships cross-functionally.
Ability to balance multiple competing priorities.
Ability to work through ambiguity to solve problems with innovative solutions.
Proficiency in Google Suite, such as Sheets, Slides, and Docs.

Bonus Points:

Bachelors or advanced degree in project management, communication, or any L&D related field.

New York City residents only: Minimum salary of $109,000/year + equity and benefits

Colorado residents only: Minimum salary of $87,200/year + equity and benefits
