Do you love training and developing internal teams on a global scale? AppLovin is looking for our first Learning and Development (L&D) Manager. You will be pivotal to attracting, retaining and developing internal talent globally. You will be hands-on in architecting and implementing training and development programs and measuring organizational effectiveness with training and development initiatives. You will collaborate closely with business leaders and cross functional partners to ensure that programs are effective, meaningful and truly making an impact in individual development and career progression that also delivers on the needs of the Company.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and execute on learning and development programs and strategies, while implementing various learning methods companywide.
- Drive AppLovin’s L&D strategy, leadership programs, employee development, career progression, and employee engagement initiatives that scale globally.
- Partner with various key stakeholders to understand individual and organizational needs. Work cross functionally on existing and proposed training and development initiatives and ensure training programs meet current and future needs.
- Design and develop professional trainings, workshops, e-learning courses and other learning materials to guide employees with building skills (soft skills, business acumen, technical skills, etc.) as appropriate. Conduct and lead training programs as appropriate.
- Identify, recommend and oversee third party training providers to facilitate L&D strategy.
- Use data to assess training needs and measure training effectiveness, iterating and evolving learning and training needs accordingly.
- Look for ways to continuously improve programs and trainings, staying abreast of market learning and development trends and innovating in the learning space (e.g., leveraging engaging technology for scalability, etc.).
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Learning and Development, including building an L&D function from scratch.
- Strong eye for detail with excellent written and verbal communication. Must be comfortable presenting to all levels and have a strong ability to influence and inspire others.
- A strategic problem solver with a solution mindset. You have the ability to look at a problem from multiple perspectives and adjust your approach based on new information.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous builder mentality culture.
- Extensive knowledge of various learning methods and training methodologies, including remote and in-person learning environments.
- Experience in instructional design and delivery of learning and leadership development programs in a variety of methods.
- Ability to interpret and communicate data effectively with strong analytical skills. Must be well versed in Google Sheets, Excel and similar programs.
- Results oriented mentality - demonstrates high initiative and provides leadership and execution in a fast paced evolving environment.
- Both strategic and roll up your sleeves/hands-on results oriented leader who thrives on helping others meet their goals.
