Create stories and dialogue with dramatic conflict and subtext
Our writing team
Our writers are driven to push the boundaries of dramatic storytelling in open-world games. We want players to feel hooked by our quests and characters, to enjoy dialogue that crackles, and to savor our stories long after they put down the controller. To accomplish these goals, we collaborate closely with designers, artists, animators, actors and technicians throughout the studio, and beyond.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Writer to:
- Lead the writing team for one of Guerrilla’s projects
- Work with the Game Director and Narrative Director to set the vision, tone, and emotional arc for the project
- Evangelize this vision to your team and to other teams within Guerrilla
- Pitch and develop compelling ideas for features, quests, activities, characters and more
- Review, edit, and standardize narrative content for the project
- Actively build and expand your team’s capabilities through hiring and mentoring
Who you are
We’re eager to get to know you if you have:
- At least 7 years of experience in a writing role for a AAA game studio, with at least 4 years in a leadership function
- Been involved directly in all phases of game production, and have shipped at least one AAA game title
- Extensive knowledge of stories and narrative design in online games, MMORPGs and open-world RPG games
- Ample experience in creating complex narrative design and branching dialogue systems
- Structured methods for defining, producing and editing large volumes of content
- A background and/or training in dramatic writing and story structure
