The World of Warcraft team is seeking a talented and passionate individual to lead our World Building team. In this role, you will collaborate with the Art, Design, Engineering, and Production disciplines, guide the development of world builders, and lead their efforts to flesh out a highly immersive and beautiful world. You will participate in the creation of all types of spaces, ranging from exterior zones, dungeons, arenas, battlegrounds and more. The ideal candidate prioritizes collaboration, has a thorough understanding of world building, and fosters a healthy and positive quality of life for their team.

What you will do…

• Manage, mentor, evaluate, and provide feedback to a team of world builders
• Uphold and grow high quality standards for design, art and game performance
• Collaborate with Art and Design to develop a strong creative vision and philosophy, and communicate them to the team
• Partner with Production to scope, plan and organize multiple simultaneous projects
• Partner with the engineering team to help develop new tools and improve existing ones
• Champion work / life balance for the world building team
• Promote, contribute to, and participate in our culture of inclusion and diversity

To succeed, you must have…

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience performing in a world building role or equivalent
• Competency in the design and artistic visual execution of outdoor world spaces
