As part of the Avatar Project, you’ll play an instrumental role in bringing to life the beautiful and dangerous world of Pandora. This is a unique opportunity to keep growing your experience in games while working hand-in-hand with Disney’s creative minds and James Cameron’s production company, Lightstorm Entertainment.
As a Lead UI Technical Artist at Massive, you'll mentor, manage, and motivate a team of UI Technical Artists to create some of the most advanced UI content ever seen in video games. You'll collaborate with additional UI/UX Leads, Producers, Programmers, and multidisciplinary game developers across our AAA production team, to deliver features on time, in line with the art direction, and always with the players best interest in mind. To do this you'll get to work with industry-leading tools like our Snowdrop engine.

You're the missing link between Art & Tech. You enjoy finding innovative solutions to existing game UI and graphical obstacles. You're also a passionate coach and team player, having had previous experience driving a team through a AAA production and through a release.
Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
- A relevant portfolio of your work (must include UI Tech Art and ideally, examples with a fluid/organic nature - remembering Pandora, "It's kinda the Garden of Eden with teeth and claws" James Cameron).
- Previous experience leading a AAA game production team through a release
- Several years experience as a UI/VFX/Technical Artist on multiple projects
- Relevant degree in an Art or Tech field, or the equivalent work experience
- Command of various design tools (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effect & 3D software)
- Experience with node-based, visual scripting game engines (e.g. Snowdrop, Unreal or Unity)
