Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a passionate Lead UI Artist to deliver on outstanding interface visuals for Diablo IV. As a Lead UI Artist, you should possess an excellent understanding of graphic design, rendering of materials suited for the Diablo aesthetic, and communication through visuals and animations. You will help grow and mentor our current UI art team while maintaining a high-quality standard for all projects and help improve various workflows associated with the UI pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Establish a consistent and cohesive vision for the presentation of the game interface across the project
- Lead a small team of UI artists toward crafting high quality UI assets
- Partner closely with the UI/UX design lead to ensure form and function work hand in hand
- Provide mentorship and feedback on visual designs, illustrations or renders, motion design, VFX, and implementation, to achieve polished execution
- Maintain an art style guide and help organize associated asset libraries
- Collaborate with outsourcing managers to standardize and approve assets when needed
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience as a visual designer or artist in an interactive design field
- Experience leading or mentoring other artists
- Strong visual design skills and proven knowledge of type selection, color, layout, and motion
- Proficiency with software needed to communicate visual designs (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Figma)
- Understanding of usability design principles
- Knowledge of various tools used to craft UI for modern game engines
- Self-motivated, collaborative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Pluses
- Passionate about the Diablo franchise
- Experience with implementation of visual assets
- Experience developing the UI for a product that shipped on both PC and console

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
