We are looking for a self-starting, creative, driven, and results-focused Lead Tools Engineer to join our team! If you're looking to make an impact, and have the opportunity to work with a fun, collaborative team - we’d love to talk to you! You will be responsible for leading our Tools Engineering Team, responsible for designing, building, and testing Unity Tools, Packages, and SDKs for our diverse development community. Our goal is to solve common problems once and share solutions as prepared code that any developer can use - saving them time and hassle. Lion Studios publishes a large number of games. Our Tools team strives to simplify the game development process, improve standardization, and reduce time-to-market.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a team to develop shared Unity packages and modules
- Build technology and tools that can be leveraged across multiple projects
- Be flexible and willing to learn new technologies
- Optimize and fine-tune code for performance
- Maintain existing codebases
- Tackle new challenges that arise during development
Requirements:
- 5+ years of industry experience programming real-time 3D mobile games (Android and iOS) and have shipped multiple mobile games
- Extensive Unity3D experience
- Advanced knowledge of C# and preferably experience with Objective-C and Java
- Excellent programming skills with a solid understanding of software engineering techniques, methodologies, and attention to detail
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies as needed
- Positive and willing to tackle new challenges that arise during development
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment within your team and beyond
- Development experience with version control software
- BA/BS degree in computer science, game development, or related fields; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
