Lead Software Engineer, Creator Platform
Come help us create the future world of AR. At Niantic, we’re striving to change the way that people interact with the outside world by giving people new reasons to connect with their places, spaces, and communities. We need the help of a Lead Engineer who is passionate about the impact AR can have on the world and that anyone with an idea can be a part of it.
Our project is in an early phase, and so there’s a great opportunity to help shape the technical direction of the project. With that it’s important to find effective focal points and hone in on the project’s core needs. Some of this will be through lots of prototyping and experimentation, so having an open mind as well as a keen vision of what is foundational is important. In the future, you’ll be a central part of engineering a sustainable creator platform that’ll enable creativity for years to come.
The right kind of person for this role is someone who’s very familiar with gaming, creator/consumer tech platforms, AR, and/or VR spaces. They need to be a visionary technical leader that can make intuitive and scalable systems in the pursuit of allowing anyone to create content for the real world. Having experience with multiple shipped multiplayer titles and games-as-service is ideal.
The work we’ll be doing will be a journey into the unknown. The way will be treacherous but exciting. Come see what creating on the cutting edge is like.
