About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished Quality and Automation Engineer who understands customer obsession and wants to build a culture of customer-first partnerships across Twitch. You will be collaborative and work with every level of the engineering team in building Twitch's quality culture, tooling, and capabilities. You are adaptive, an expert tester, and work well with all levels of peers across the teams. You think and act within your domain and help improve testing across all areas of our software development lifecycle. You'll also have some solid skills on the infrastructure side; you will work closely with our Systems Engineering team, and we're looking for a well-rounded subject-matter expert on Quality Engineering and Test infrastructure to help take us to the next level. You will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Engineering.
You Will:
- Independently design automation framework for products with a quality mindset
- Work with our users on requirements, goals and measures
- Provide input and recommendations on technical issues to our data engineering and software engineering teams
- Maintain and administer the testing environment
- Develop and support analysis, reports and data extracts
- Lead meetings and presentations with all partners
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of software engineering, quality assurance/engineering, usability, or business analysis experience
- Skills in Python, Java, C# or a similar language
- Familiarity with industry quality & usability practices
- Minimum 4 years experience with web application automation frameworks and libraries (Robot, Selenium)
- Proficiency in writing functional automation (UI/API)
- Communicate technical information and coordinate cross-team efforts
- Minimum 2 years experience with Salesforce CRM platform
- Experience with agile development methodology
Bonus Points
- Proficiency displaying complex data in a simple format
- Experience building and scaling infrastructure in AWS
- Experience with middleware platforms such as Informatica or Mulesoft
- Experience developing automated testing with other platforms such as Middleware or SAP/ERP
