Lead Programmer (Power Wash Simulator) - Permanent, Full-Time

If you take just as much pride in optimising workflows as you do in coding the perfect water flow – then we are looking for you! The PowerWash Simulator team at FuturLab is seeking an experienced Lead Programmer to head up our talented programming team on our live, multiplatform game. Working closely with the Game Director, you’ll help build the vision of the game, ensuring it becomes an actionable technical design that will deliver a quality experience for our players.
The successful candidate will have shipped at least two titles, with at least one being on a console platform. As well as being extremely well-organised, we’re looking for someone who is kind and patient.
As a remote-friendly studio, we are pleased to offer remote working wherever possible. This role can be fully remote, based out of our sunny seaside office in Brighton or a mixture of both!

As the Lead Programmer on PowerWash Simulator, you’ll be:
- working with other programmers to design the game code and maintain technical design documents.
- collaborating with the Art and Design teams to identify and define pipelines, workflows and tools needed throughout the development process.
- leading the code team to ensure delivery of the necessary tools and technology.
- ensuring all code is delivered to the required standard and all TRCs are followed.
- thoroughly testing code to ensure that there are no bugs.
- mentoring and managing programmers on your team.
- estimating time to accomplish programming tasks and committing to meeting these objectives.

Requirements
- Expert in C#.
- Excellent working knowledge of Unity.
- At least 8 years of game development experience.
- Ability to break down and scope out technical tasks.
- Experienced in leading and mentoring team.
- Previous experience of working on a multiplatform title.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both a technical and non-technical audience.
- Excellent communicator both verbal and written.
- Specialised knowledge in one or more of the following:
- Graphics, systems, procedural generation, physics, networking, AI or gameplay.
