We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated DesignOps lead with strong visual craft to join a team of seasoned Product Designers on one of the agency’s key accounts. This project is solely responsible for the creation, management and evolution of the design system for a multinational investment management corporation. This will require a high level of client stakeholder engagement and interaction, so clear communication skills are critical.
The ideal candidate would consider themselves a ‘process nerd’, passionate about creating efficient workflows, optimising and documenting design processes and improving the quality and impact of our design outputs.
We are about to embark on moving a highly detailed ‘library of symbols from Sketch to Figma and need a designer who is comfortable leading this work - not simply ‘lifting and shifting’ the assets but planning the best way to reorganise and restructure in order to make the most of Figmas’ advanced capabilities.

Start ASAP until 30th June with a view to extending if the project expands.

Key Skills
Design & Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Sketch and Figma
- Prior experience in design systems and the optimisation of design assets
- Strength in leading an end-to-end product design process
- Strong digital product design visual skills a must
- Comfortable coming up with and exploring conceptual ideas
- Experienced in user research and concept testing
- Organised and self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Proposition development
- Visualising and prototyping concepts to varying levels of fidelity to demonstrate and validate ideas
Key Responsibilities
- Documenting our design process and unifying our design language across platforms - Interviewing client side designers about their current workflows
- Workshopping and documenting a unified design process
- Standardising design system file naming conventions, layer naming, file hygiene etc (aka ‘design language’) for better consistency across files and processes
- Owning the transition from Sketch to Figma - Applying the learnings from documenting our design process
- Planning and documenting the way our projects will be structured within Figma
- Moving Sketch files from Sketch to Figma and renaming/aligning to new process - - Facilitate ‘Figma power user’ sessions to educate the team on the best plugins/workflows
- Owning the Design System contributions process - Optimising contributions process within Figma
- Managing incoming contributions with the product manager and communicating progress to product teams
- Facilitating better visibility across the client's design projects and communication between the Design system team and client’s product teams
Working practises
- Experience working with an Agile process
- Working with a cross discipline team of designers, developers and product managers to ensure delivery of high-quality products on time and on budget
- Understand and where appropriate challenge business requirements to champion user needs in accordance with product and market strategy
- Maintain awareness and mitigation of project risk
- Engage clients and stakeholders in design solutions that fit their needs
- Understand clients’ design needs and work within those constraints
- Communicate design specifications with other designers and developers; validate and monitor quality output
- Clearly present various stages of interface design development, concepts and ideas to business owners, team members and stakeholders of all levels
