Lead Producer

Gravity Well is looking for an experienced Lead Producer to help manage development and ensure we ship a fun and high quality game on time and without crunching. You will be tied to the hip with the Game Director to be their partner in crime - keeping the team honest and accountable, tackling the tough problems of remote work, overseeing development priorities and schedules, team communication, and working directly with our publisher.
What You'll Do:
- Work closely with all department directors to oversee all aspects of production, including schedules and milestones.
- Help manage and advise on project scope and priorities.
- Responsible for tracking our development progress and deliverables.
- Provide ongoing risk assessments to the Game Director, Creative Director, and studio leadership about any risks to the schedule, weaknesses, and bottlenecks; make recommendations to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Work with the team to find solutions and improve processes to ensure proper workload balance (remember, no crunching!)
- Co-own the primary relationship with our publisher to coordinate milestones and ensure that we are fulfilling our requirements on time.
You Have:
- Shipped multiple titles in a senior production or leadership role.
- Experience supporting development teams on AAA games from Prototype to Ship.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Significant cross-discipline experience in order to assess risks and make recommendations across all aspects of development.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across multiple work streams.
Bonus Skills:
- Production support during the earliest stages of development; IP building, prototyping, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Experience working with a distributed team and remote working environment.
- Hands-on experience with launching and running an online game.
What You’ll Get:
- The base pay for this role is $150,000 to $200,000 USD per year and is applicable to US-based employees only. We pay fairly across our global team regardless of your location but it will differ based on factors such as experience, qualifications etc.

Where You'll Work:
- This position is for US and Canadian residents. We have an office in California if you like to come to an office, but most employees work from home across different US time zones and that's totally fine.
