Lead Producer – Permanent

OVERVIEW

London Studio are building an upcoming PlayStation 5 online game from the ground up. Quality is something that we are immensely proud to be striving for, and we are looking at putting the right team together to help take us forward with this brand-new project. New starters will be joining at the perfect time to get involved in shaping our plans for a game we are exceptionally passionate about.

We are also part of a wider network of PlayStation Studios and there are lots of opportunities for collaboration and wider support from our sister studios like Insomniac, Guerrilla, Naughty Dog and Media Molecule to name a few.

At London Studio, we believe in working smarter not harder, so looking for a motivated and charismatic Lead Producer to own our production processes and project schedule consolidation.

As a Lead Producer, you'll play a pivotal role in motivating and developing your team to be class leading not just within the Sony PlayStation Studios family, but outside of it. You will be communicating both up and down the business on the project status, calling out icebergs as and when they crest the horizon, not just with gut feel but the production data you have curated.

We appreciate this is not always done by following the standard rule book, so our Lead Producer will help propose and evangelise new ways of doing things, both using their own experience and employing an active listening approach to take into consideration the experience, past and present, of your production and team Leads.

Scope of Work

• Work directly with the Production Director to define the production delivery approach for the game title.
• You evangelise the production process, handling ideas and building consensus and passion in its direction in both Production and the wider team.
• Lead the Senior production team holding regular 121s, setting objectives, looking after their welfare, and providing mentoring and support.
• Provide active and ongoing communication regarding team morale.
• You are the keeper of the project timeline and will curate and use production data to proactively handle risk and facilitate data-based decision making.
• Communicate project status to the Senior Leadership team and the Studio Heads.

Knowledge / Experience

• You are an excellent leader
• A good listener with a positive, approachable demeanour.
• Are highly organised and can balance multiple priorities & deliveries.
• You possess the ability to conceptualise a production process vision and establish priority and define benchmarks for the team.
• Have a well-informed, practical understanding of varied production processes and can ensure that the team follow and understand the benefits of these methodologies.
• You show good judgement, problem solving, and an ability to reach conclusions – while offering positive, and constructive feedback.
• Experience at a Senior production level and shipping titles with medium to large team sizes from concept to street.

Impact / Complexity

The role will support communication of project status including key date tracking, risks and their quantified mitigations. This will have strategic impact on the roadmap and development priorities. The Lead Producer role will co-ordinate standard methodology within the production team who will then co-ordinate with the Leads and wider team.

Supervision

We are hoping you're the type of Manager who leads, constantly wants to improve, and can empower and steer a team. As well as someone who has a firm grasp of the bigger picture and its priorities.

Our roles can be flexible in terms of work location in the UK. We will consider the individual’s preference for hybrid, remote or onsite working. Unfortunately we are not in a position to accommodate remote working outside of the UK.
