We are really excited to open this hire for an experienced Multiplayer Gameplay Designer because it’s a role of crucial importance to the new PS5 project we are working on at London Studio.
As a 1 st Party Studio we set out to produce games which show the exciting potential of the latest PlayStation hardware so it’s important you are up for experimenting and working in uncharted design territory! We, at London Studio, are no strangers to innovation in gaming with a rich history of working on Singstar, Eyetoy, Eyepet, Book of Spells and more recently in Virtual Reality on games like VRWorlds.
We want you to be a leading light for multiplayer gameplay in the team, bringing knowledge, experience and a passion for online multiplayer gaming to the team. You will be directly responsible for the development of gameplay mechanics and systems working with technical, mission and narrative design leads as well as our fabulous gameplay code team.

Online Gameplay Design
- You should have experience designing gameplay mechanics and systems for multiplayer online games to a high quality level
- You will be responsible for designing the gameplay and working with the team to produce compelling prototypes and the final systems required to make them in production.
- You will implement the gameplay into the missions and balance it to produce games our players will love to play and share with their friends.

Design Leadership
- Work with the Leadership team to deliver on the product vision to a high quality.
- Communicate gameplay design so that team engagement, inclusivity and alignment with the goals are high.
- Work closely with production to plan the project, provide good time estimations and up-to-date knowledge of the project status so we can make great games and enjoy a healthy work-life balance for the team
- Share your knowledge with the team through great processes, work flows, templates, documentation and mentoring.
- Collaborate with Mission, Narrative and Technical Design teams to ensure a holistic approach is taken to concept development.
- Work with the Tools and Gameplay Code teams to develop and maintain robust gameplay workflows, and tooling in our proprietary editor for designers.
- Work closely with Technical Design and Gameplay Coding departments to create fantastic player experiences through gameplay mechanics, systems and game structures.
