As a member of the Engineering department, you’ll oversee online and networking development.
Y ou’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better—with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.
- Architect and implement high performance network code solutions for client and server game logic
- Develop networking code to interact with backend systems and online services
- Maximize scale by optimizing network replication, reliability, and throughput
- Partner with the engineering and design teams to build multi-server gameplay systems
- Optimize and debug game network traffic and improve on existing network architecture.
You ’re awesome because you have …
- 5-7+ years of experience in network programming.
- Excellent debugging and performance analysis skills.
- Experience working on backend game systems or on client interface to backend game systems.
- Experience with game networking techniques.
- Deep knowledge of C++ programming and practices.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- The a bility to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team
- C reativity in problem solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude
- Organization methods and the capability to meet deadlines
- Comfort with s elf-critiqu e and accept ing outside feedback
- Experience as a managing engineer.
- Experience in other areas of video game technology.
- Experience with multi-platform development, including PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
- Working in and extending an established code base.
- Enjoy ment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles
