Job Description
You can have a great story to tell, but if the player doesn’t experience it, how will they know?
Solving this is the job of the Lead Narrative Designer. With one foot in the narrative and another in design, you will bridge the gap between story, systems, UX and is ultimately responsible for the players interaction with story.
Working with the Narrative Director and in collaboration with the game design team,you are responsible for overseeing the holistic design of narrative systems, implementation standards, tools used by the narrative group, pipelines for content and practical implementation of the story.
Qualifications
What you do:
- Worked as a writer on amazing games, films or television shows that have entertained millions.
- You’ve a firm grasp of game design and player agency within interactive narrative.
- You’re a problem solver who is always open to exploring ideas, but also knows a good idea when you hear it.
- You’ve had experience in a writing room working with other writers in a collaborative environment.
- You’ve experience with creative management and are interested in a leadership opportunity.

- You’re a writer who has been through several production cycles. You know the how to get things done and find a way through the shifting sands of development.
- You’re a world builder who understands that sometimes the world is the star of the show.
- You’re a collaborator, that understands that the art of negotiation.
- You’re a team player, how enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines.
