Lead Narrative Designer [Anno] (f/m/d)

Job Description
Anno 1800 takes players to 19th century, a time of industrialization, diplomacy and discovery. With the world and story of Anno growing, so is the team behind it. We are looking for a talented Lead Narrative Designer (f/m/d) who will take charge of the game’s narrative features and content while leading and developing a talented and highly motivated team of narrative designers.
Your responsibilities:
- Work closely with production and other leads to deliver high quality narrative content in line with the overall creative vision of the game and its gameplay
- Plan, direct and guide your team towards the efficient creation of high-quality narrative content. This includes the design of campaigns, quests, tutorials, events and characters
- Lead by example and act as a mentor for the narrative design team
- Plan, prioritize and set inspiring goals and proper workflows for your team
- Empower your team with clear expectations and hold them accountable for their key results
- Provide your team with meaningful feedback on performance and development
- Motivate and fully engage your team in the project’s artistic vision
- Create an environment which allows open dialogue and new creative ideas
- Participate in research and optimization of content creation tools and workflows
- Be strongly involved in the hiring of any potential future candidates within the narrative design team
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience within narrative design or other relevant experience; including shipping at least one AAA title
- Experience managing and leading a team
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Thorough understanding of overall narrative design processes
- Solid knowledge of game production pipelines and familiarity with common scheduling, task and issue tracking tools (such as Perforce, Jira, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written English skills; German skills are a plus
- Team player with a positive attitude and a superior motivation to create high quality content
