Lead Metaverse Economist

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and experienced Economist to join the Core product team. You will utilize economic methodologies, behavioral psychology, and business intelligence to support the design and maintenance of a healthy economy. Your work will be critical to the platform’s success and growth.

This role reports directly to the Chief Product Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Work with cross-functional teams of product managers, designers, engineers, and analysts, combining causal inference with business intuition to support the design and balance Core’s economy while optimizing user experience.
• Leverage economic and econometric techniques to frame and answer questions about supply and demand dynamics and interactions
• Responsible for evaluating Core Metaverse features and systems from an economics perspective and proposing changes to the design of various mechanisms.
• Work at the intersection of economics and product design to identify the optimal trade-offs across multiple design dimensions
• With your work, you will have a large impact, influencing key system design decisions at Manticore Games.

Requirements:

• Passion for metaverse, and games, technologies
• Ph.D. or MSc in Economics or closely related field
• 1-2 years of post Ph.D./MSc experience
• At least 5 years of experience in consumer products’ economy design - live/online game development a huge plus
• Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations
• Expertise in microeconomics, game theory, and market design
• Experience building, and maintaining sophisticated economy models
• Analytical skills to work with metrics and translate them into actions to build a sustainable and growing game economy
• A strong passion for building sustainable economies
