As one of the largest mobile marketing companies in the world, MZ connects millions of devices around the globe. Our marketing team focuses on driving efficient user acquisition for our top hit games - Game of War: Fire Age, Mobile Strike, and Final Fantasy XV. We’re growing our talented team with an analyst who can create meaningful impact to our business objectives. This person will effectively communicate the findings of our Marketing Decision Science team to be ingested cross functionally, operationalize our business intelligence framework and help distribute data models built to better manage our performance marketing efforts. As a data driven team and company, this person will also have the opportunity to collaborate with world class engineers, data scientists, and media buyers to make recommendations that impact millions of dollars in spend.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead communication efforts with marketing business stakeholders to identify impactful business problems, translate them into structured analysis, and effectively communicate the results
- Strategize cross-functionally on the most effective ways to scale marketing efforts within efficiency targets
- Develop quantitative analyses, ad hoc reports, and statistical models to support marketing decisions related to: marketing spend efficiency, user lifetime value, user engagement & retention, and return on investment
- Build and maintain BI tools to make informed decisions quickly while empowering others cross functionally to have information readily accessible
- Develop frameworks for forecasting, exploring trends, and spotting anomalies
- Design experiments to test the validity of hypotheses around user acquisition strategy
Your background and who you are:
- 6+ years’ work experience analyzing large datasets in an analytics role
- Previous experience managing within analytics or performance based marketing environment
- Proficiency with SQL or other querying languages
- Comfort in distilling technical information into business decisions, with a desire to own the business outcome of the analysis you produce
- Team oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, fluid, environment
- Advanced experience with Tableau or other similar visualization tool
- BS in a technical field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related fields
Bonus points:
- Experience with big data frameworks, and with Python or R
- Knowledge of digital marketing, or performance marketing
- Experience managing/supervising a team of analysts
- Master’s degree in statistics or related field
