Lead Level Designer

We are looking for a talented Lead Level Designer to join us working on an exciting unannounced secret project!
It’s so secret we had to be a little vague with this ad! but if you’re a passionate level designer, experienced lead, an Unreal whiz, and someone obsessive about designing and building amazing worlds and encounters, we might be able to tell you more!
This position is based at our studio in Guildford and is available as a permanent role.
Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of level designers to design and create a world with compelling moment-to-moment exploration, exciting and rewarding combat scenarios, entrancing environment puzzles and progression blockers, and powerful cinematic storytelling
- Work closely with combat, system, and narrative designers to block-out and create a world that compliments and enhances the narrative, core game mechanics, game-flow, and beats
- Work closely with concept and environment artists to produce a cohesive vision and bring a unique world to life with high-end visual and audio FX, captivating level layouts and beautiful world art
Requirements
Required Experience
- At least 4 years AAA industry experience
- At least 1 published title as Lead Level Designer
- Experience using the Unreal engine in a professional capacity
- Experience managing a small team
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Expertise with 3rd person-based level design for action and encounter based gameplay
- Experience with conceptualising and creating environment puzzles, progression blockers and interesting and intricate worlds that draw attention, awe, and intrigue
- Experience with creating both linear and non-linear critical paths and game-flows
- A love for 3rd person games and experiences
