Summary

As a Lead level Designer , you will be working with the Level Design Director, to contribute to the development of ongoing stimulating and innovative projects.

You will works and sync closely with associates producer in charge of the maps, Leads from other departments and as point of contact for other multidisciplinary team members. The Lead Level Designer provides support and feedback to the members of the Level Design team under his supervision, contribute to the team planning and tracking of the Level Design Team task-load.

Responsabilities

·Balance hands-on level design development with the management requirements and responsibilities of a leadership position;

·Work collaboratively with other production managers and other leads in all disciplines;

·Conduct Level design team and other Level design-centric meetings when required;

·Ensure best practice, pipeline and workflow of Level design are applied;

·Ensure that technical Level design conventions within the project are optimized and followed;

·Understand the vision of the game, and propagate it to the team members;

·Deliver content assigned to him at a high quality level; content that can be used as reference by the team members;

·Supervise and Review the work of the team members under his responsibility;

·Mentor and Support the team members under his responsibility;

·Challenge team members in their work and inspire them to strive towards excellence;

·Participate actively in ensuring that the game is delivered on time and within the targeted quality through his experience and communication skills;

·Participate actively in ensuring that industry standards are met when delivering the final product;

·Motivate the cohesion, productivity and efficiency of the team;

·Help resolve any conflict situation that may arise with team members;

·Perform the “Talent Management” review of the team members under his responsibility;

Qualifications

·Relevant degree or certificate in Level Design related program;

·A minimum of six (6) years experience in the video game industry as a Level Design team member;

·Delivered at least 3 video games, preferably on a console type 'AAA' or ‘;

·Perfect understanding of Level Design production pipelines;

·Experience with Unreal Engine (and its tool: Blueprint, Sequencers..);

·Good understanding of production pipelines of other game development disciplines;

·Experience with commonly used development tools such as Perforce;

·Knowledge of common planning, task and problem-tracking tools like Jira + Confluence;

·Ability to work in an iterative environment with Game Designers, Level Artists, Gameplay Programmers, Narrative Designers;

·Oriented towards solution and driving the project forward;

·Skilled at helping create positive interpersonal relationships;

·Motivated, proactive, and demonstrates a strong professional ethic;

·Ability to adapt quickly to change;

· S trong communication skills in French and English, both oral and written.
