Lead Level Artist [Anno] (f/m/d)

Anno is a critically acclaimed and award-winning franchise, offering a rich city-building experience and providing players ample opportunity to create huge metropolises, plan efficient logistics networks, explore and settle new lands and dominate their opponents by diplomacy, trade or warfare.
As Lead Level Artist on Anno, you will be responsible for leading the Level Art team in the development of AAA environments in adherence with the creative vision of the game.
What you will do:
- Inspire, mentor and challenge your team in order to develop both their creative and technical skillset
- Design, prototype and implement stunning game worlds and environments
- Asset briefing, prototyping and final propping of in-game scenes with a focus on mood and environmental storytelling
- Close collaboration with the overall art team and art director
- Work closely with the art director, product owner, designers, and engineers to establish the production pipeline and best practices for the game
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Minimum 5 years experience as an artist in video games, with at least 1 shipped AAA title, plus experience leading and managing an art team
- Excellent communication skills as a leader, collaborator, and mentor
- A keen eye for composition, proportion and sense of scale
- Strong ability to tell stories through level art and propping scenes
- Skilled in creating mood and atmosphere for game environments (lighting, composition etc.)
- Ability to optimize the game world to meet performance requirements
- Fluent in English, both verbally and written
- Excellent communication skills, never afraid to ask questions and to help teammates with answering their own
* Experience with strategy games is a plus
