The Role
Our team is a close-knit group of seasoned developers with a diverse array of backgrounds currently focused on the prototyping stages of an ambitious new game idea for the next generation of players. We are looking for a Principal Gameplay Engineer to join a team in the early stages of developing a new game, franchise, and studio. This is a unique opportunity where you get to help define a new game and make long lasting and impactful technical choices.
We are seeking an engineer experienced in creating, communicating, and executing strategic technical plans though all stages of a games production including post release. An engineer with dep experience in writing gameplay code for shipped titles.

Enjoys working with designers, artists, production, and other engineers to hone and refine ideas, realizing them into robust implementations
Skilled at giving and receiving feedback on game development and interpersonal interactions.

What You Will Do:
Create technical vision for multiple gameplay systems
Create technical designs including documentation and work estimates
Responsible for the implementation of features both directly and though mentorship of other engineers on the team.

Work cross functional groups to “Find the Fun” on a brand-new game
Contribute to our teams technical and cultural development processes

Minimum Qualifications:
12+ years of experience in gameplay engineering, in at least two shipped or live AAA title
Demonstrated experience working in AAA game engines
Demonstrated deep technical experience in multiple gameplay systems.
Experience working with a team of diverse disciplines
Strong 3D math knowledge
Strong literary and oral communications skills

Bonus Points:
Experience working within Unreal 4 / Unreal 5
Experience with game networking models
Experience shipping a live game
