As a Lead Game Developer for our Acadia studio, you will be at the forefront of the development of our flagship game: Transformers: Forged to Fight, as well as one of our unannounced new games. Your daily interactions with producers, designers, artists and other programmers will enable you to build and release our best new game features at a sustainable rate.

This role is open to being fully remote in the Maritime provinces (PE, NL, NB, and NS) and we support the basic setups for our employees.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Work on the development of our games
- Work with game designers to transform design ideas into engineering solutions
- Make engineering decisions regarding our development
- Plan, develop, and implement code to ensure that our live game performs well as we add new features and content with each release
- Develop new releases every month by setting up branches, migrating features, and collaborating with partners
- Be a founding engineer for our PEI studio who helps onboard, grow, and develop new or junior engineers
- Assist the production team in planning the software development process for large or urgent features
- Diagnosis and resolution of technical issues. Monitoring and sharing of product health metrics
Your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Solid experience in hands-on software development
- 10+ years of software development in tech
- 6+ years of experience in games development
- 3+ years of experience as a lead engineer, who trained, mentored, and onboarded junior engineers.
- Worked on prototypes, pre-production, production, global launch, and live operations stages
- Strong C# and Unity skills
- Expertise in client-server architecture
- Experience in profiling a game, and utilizing telemetry to make software decisions
- Working experience with hybrid cloud environments
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies for developing software, managing multiple deliverables simultaneously, prioritizing workload, and collaborating with colleagues in an Agile work environment
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with other engineers and non-engineering team members
For those who want to take it up a notch, let us know if you have:
- Unity experience with NGUI
- Understanding of the Android / iOS SDKs and development model
- Experience with Perforce, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and the Google Workspace
- Experience with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform in production
