ABOUT THE ROLE
Own server side game features through every step of the development process, from initial design all the way to live game support. Work closely with game designers, artists and other technical groups to implement large-scale game features. Lead the Backend Core team for your project.
WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE
- Build efficient and reusable systems and tools
- Move fast and create long-lasting, highly successful products
- Identify and address performance bottleneck
- Improve and maintain our CI/CD pipelines together with our Central Tech team.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Fluent in Node.js and TypeScript, familiar with C# is a plus.
- Hands on experience with AWS services
- Hands-on expertise in designing and implementing microservices-based architecture, with a good understanding of data sharing and read/write optimizations
- Hands-on expertise in developing and working with RESTful APIs
- Understanding of container technology and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
- Extensive familiarity with both relational and non-relational database systems
- Experience with Serverless services
- Experience with WebSockets, gRPC, and other similar communications protocols
- Must be proactive, self-directed, and organized
- Willing and able to learn more
- A passion for developing scalable and optimized software systems
- Confident in your work and care about the quality of what you produce
- Mindful of how design decisions impact performance and user experience
- Experience supporting live services, particularly in games
- Bonus! Experience with mobile game development in Unity
- Bonus! Experience with C# .NET stack
- Bonus! Experience working with distributed teams
