Thatgamecompany, Inc. seeks a Lead Game Analyst in Santa Monica, CA.

Duties:

Dive into huge data sets with a passion for extracting meaningful insights. Create clear dashboards and reports by pulling data from different sources and presenting them to team in an easily digestible format. Empathize with the end user, understanding what all this data means in the context of the player experience. Partner with production, marketing, and development teams to provide key user insights and help drive the team’s decision-making. Ensure data collection is optimized to provide clear visibility into the impact and value of new initiatives and version releases. Build a data informed culture across the organization, educate the wider team on the benefits of data and be an evangelist for values driven prioritization. Support product owners to establish clear, meaningful goals for their products, encouraging them to focus on how their work will improve they player experience. Create a roadmap for analytical priorities. Provide analysis, proposal and development of responses to the needs of Directors (Design, Marketing, QA, Engineering, etc.). Formalize project needs, translate and deliver quality analyses on time. Manage backlog for analytics group and agree on priorities and assignments with Director.

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field(s) plus 4 years of experience as a data analyst. Requires 4 years of experience with SQL and querying large databases. Requires 2 years of experience with scripting language (PHP or Python). Requires 2 years of experience with at least one BI reporting tool (Tableau, Looker, or Power BI). Requires experience with visualization of data with graphs, charts and dashboards. Requires 2 years of experience highlighting strategic vulnerabilities and opportunities exposed by data and finding potential solutions for them. Requires 2 years of experience interpreting and analyzing large data sets for key stakeholders. Telecommuting permitted.
