Lead Environment (Level) Artist (Unannounced Project)

We are now incredibly excited to be recruiting for our new Unannounced Project.
We are headquartered in Seoul, South Korea and sit within the KRAFTON, Inc. corporation. From our Amsterdam office, we cover Europe, Middle East & Africa, and the CIS region, and have teams dedicated to Game Development, Product Management, Esports, Content, Communications, Creative, Merchandise, HR and more.
Our office is situated in the Amsterdam Arena area, a buzzing business hub in the southeastern part of the city. Accommodating some of the world’s largest and most exciting companies, the area also transforms at night into a popular social destination. As the Lead Environment Artist here at PUBG you will be a mentor; managing, and supporting a team of specialized Environment Artists in a multidisciplinary working environment. You will be joining the project at the very beginning and having an opportunity to make a significant contribution to its development.
Basic Responsibilities:
- Plan, prioritize and set inspiring objectives for your team members all year long
- Leading and developing high-quality Environment Art for a AAA game
- Support the Art Director by executing on the creative vision and with the creation of an Art Bible and Style guild
- Reading, revising, and validating the teams work, mentoring to improve the overall quality
- Identify and set up the best workflow and pipeline practices
- Evaluating task duration and distributing challenges across your team
What we’re ideally looking for:
- Vast experience in production art in the gaming industry with some years as in a Lead role
- Experience with Unreal, Unity, or equivalent proprietary engine.
- Great technical knowledge of 3D packages, texturing packages, and visual scripting game engines
- Good knowledge of scheduling and team tracking software and techniques
- Strong leadership, team building and people management skills.
- Solid understanding of the workflows required to create an asset from the Blockout stage to final quality, and optimization for real-time rendering.
- In-depth understanding of architecture, open world and visual story telling
- A relevant portfolio of artwork (must include Level/Environment Art)
