Lead Environment Artist - Studio Elevation (Remote)

We are looking for exceptional talent to help pave the way forward with fresh innovation for the next generation of VR hardware and software.
Elevation will re-establish the boundaries of VR. We are looking for a talented Lead Environment Artist, to help us explore, create, and deliver world leading innovation in software and VR hardware. Become one of the core team members to help path-find our remote first studio, crafting a new generation of VR development and bringing core VR games to fruition.
As the Lead Environment Artist, you will be guiding and mentoring a diverse team of artists capable of creating genre leading titles, with a key focus on level composition, lighting, and atmosphere as much technical excellence. You would take ownership of entire sections of gameplay with your team, working with veterans of the industry to further each other’s personal development, mentoring and peer critiquing. Help to build a creative environment, fostering self-improvement and ownership, whilst establishing pipelines and processes that empower discovery and refine intuitive, aspirational games.
Key Responsibilities:- Shape and deliver the execution of 3D environments and supporting assets for well composed world building development.
- Develop your team of artists to take ownership and initiative to deliver a cohesive and considered environment aesthetic.
- Effectively communicate and illustrate environmental intentions and visual language whilst remaining open to stakeholder input.
- Work with a level of self-driven autonomy whilst reliably and effectively participating in team development and culture.
- Bring your specialism and knowledge to cross discipline groups to proactively level-up our game and development experience.
Requirements
Essential Experience:
- Excellent working knowledge of Maya, Adobe Creative Suite, zbrush, substance and Unreal.
- At least 5 years’ experience in real-time game development, with demonstrable results.
- Demonstrable 3D skills showing an understanding of technical console limitations and capabilities, and physically based rendering pipeline.
- An aptitude to applying themselves to new technologies.
