Lead Engineer

Kabam Austin studio development team is rapidly growing as it finishes up its current project and gets ready to start another one soon. The team is composed of developers with decades of combined experience from across console, MMO, and mobile gaming development and we are looking forward to adding your knowledge and experience to our creative pool.
We are working on an action multiplayer game on a mobile platform with our own original IP using Unreal Engine 4 for gameplay and our exclusive proprietary technology for data management.
We are in search of an experienced and well-rounded Lead Engineer to organize and support the work of the engineering team through establishing good development practices and workflows, overseeing resource allocation and time management, participating in technology design and implementation, as well as mentoring and building the career of the team members.
Your work will have a direct impact on the quality of the developed game as well as on the growth and prosperity of the studio overall.
In order to be successful in this role, we are looking for:
- Experience with software engineering of various technological solutions for complete lifecycle of a project for 10+ years
- Commercial experience in game development industry for 10+ years
- Experience leading the team of engineers from both technical and personnel perspectives for 5+ years
- Successfully shipped multiple multiplayers game titles
- Advanced to expert knowledge of C++
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Experience development for mobile devices
It will be nice if you also have:
- Engineering experience in client side, UI or game play areas
- Engineering experience with performance optimization tasks
- Experience with developing and maintaining long term online (Live) product
