Lead, ERP Test, Business Technology

A critical role of Magic Leap's Business Technology (BT) solutions teams, SAP ERP Test Lead ("ETMs") work closely with Project Managers, development managers and IT operations. You will work alongside fellow Consultants, Developers, and Engineers to empower and support BT's customers, vendors, and partners. They are team players who are integral to the success of BT's project teams. Equally, the EPRM must have the confidence to manage up and provide reporting as well as meeting updates to senior Business Technology management and line of business
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creating test strategy and implement it for very complex projects involving multiple applications in the landscape
- Design the daily, weekly, monthly status reports required for different stakeholders.
- Communicate the needs of environment strategy, testing timelines/windows, Data needs of automation and performance testing, and align with all stakeholders in the project
- Develop common test strategies for release governance across multiple departments;
- Establish consistent release management processes;
- Facilitate cross-department coordination of release management functions;
- Track an enterprise-wide release calendar;
- Inform senior management of enterprise-wide exposure to release risk and effectively mitigate it;
- Measure release cadence and effectiveness using common metrics across the entire software portfolio;
- Create common standards and formats for release playbooks and work with production control to standardize release decision-making;
- Define common mechanisms for rollback and standards for capturing release-related performance indicators;
- Forecast demand for release resources and identify opportunities for greater efficiency across the enterprise
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
As our Enterprise Project and Release Management you will report to our Director, Business Technology.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university with a minimum of eight years of related post-graduate work experience;
- 8+ years of expertise and leadership in Project or Release Management;
- 2+ years of working in the technology industry;
- 2+ years strong project management skills with accountability for end-to-end delivery;
- Should have at least experience in 2 projects with SAFe implementation methodology Experience managing all types of testing including Manual, Automation, Performance, UAT, and ORT.
- Must have 12-14 experience in SAP projects including 6-7 years as test manager · Resource should have experience in SAP S/4 HANA implementations as test manager; Supply Chain and Enterprise Warehouse experience is preferred
- Should have excellent communication skills to work with all stakeholders in the project including steering committee, business sponsor, implementation partner,
- Experience in governing both waterfall as well as Agile/DevOps project lifecycles;
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD);
- Experience with automation tools and strong ability to choose the best tools and solutions for the release management function;
- Knowledge of ITIL standards and best practices;
- A successful track record in developing and managing internal and external partnerships;
- Experience managing support, operational and software development teams for a diverse range of critical and/or highly visible applications, including CMSs, end-user products, SaaS and web applications;
- Project management experience, especially for technology projects required;
- Experience in implementing and managing software development teams using Agile methodologies;
- Demonstrated product leadership in large-scale enterprise applications;
- Ability to quickly master technical as well as functional complexities & nuances of diverse applications & technologies;
- Experience in building and managing within controls/compliance environments;
- Ability and a strong desire to provide exceptional in-person and remote support to our user base across our offices;
- Ability to work as a member of a team, lead specialists, manage all aspects of projects and provide consultancy & support to business customers;
- Decisiveness, good judgment, strong organization skills, project management skills, strong technical knowledge, excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
