ustwo is looking for a creative, empathetic, and entrepreneurial business development professional to join our NYC-based team. As Lead Client Partner, Growth at ustwo you will be accountable for identifying, cultivating, and growing business relationships, and in doing so, growing our business. Day-to-day you will work across the new business funnel in two main areas: pipeline expansion (identifying, targeting, and generating leads) and converting opportunities (qualifying, crafting briefs, shepherding RFP responses, and managing proposals.
You’ll partner closely with our NY Principal Client Partner as well as our larger business development team both locally and across the studio group. You’ll also engage closely with delivery, design, strategy, and technology teams across ustwo in order to craft well-considered responses to the needs of the brands, businesses, and product teams we engage with.
You Will
- Identify, Cultivate, & Generate Leads
- Recognize and track market trends to advise on opportunity areas and outreach strategies.
- Conduct a cadence of regular strategic outreach and lead generation via in-person and online channels
- Collaborate with and manage lead gen partners, ensuring transparency and efficiency in ways of working
- Cultivate and nurture new and established relationships through regular and relevant communication, and rigorously track progress on relationships and their potential
- Collaborate with our internal Marketing team to craft stories and target profiles for campaigns and events, and revisit strategy and messaging based on network feedback
- Convert New Business.
- Strategize and frame compelling offerings or services
- Understand and respond to client objectives in order to drive those into work that delivers value
- Develop proposals, RFP responses, and pitches in partnership with cross-functional teammates.
- Contribute to a Global BD Team
- Strive to collaborate, share knowledge, and contribute to the success of the wider team.
- Engage the studios to understand what brands and industries excite them and educate teams as to how they can support business growth at ustwo.
- Understand the commercial impact of new business on the studio and contribute to forecasting as part of the wider team.
You Have
- 7+ years of professional business development experience working in digital, consulting, or agency environments.
- A passion for seeking out new relationships and new business opportunities and a demonstrated ability to convert these leads into billable work.
- Strong communication skills – you’re comfortable meeting and working alongside technical directors, salespeople, designers, and CEOs alike.
- Strong organization and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders at different levels across different projects.
- Experience using CRM systems (Pipedrive, Salesforce) and a strong desire to build on your technology skills.
- Financial literacy and the ability to navigate spreadsheets and pricing tools.
- An understanding and appreciation for how, why, and where design, product development, and technology are important.
- A desire to be part of a growing and collaborative team.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this full-time role is between $130,000 and $155,000. Actual salary amount within this range will be dependent on the candidate's experience, skillset, market knowledge, and salaries of current employees in similar roles. We benchmark our salaries regularly against competitive market data so these ranges will be subject to change.
