Are you creative problem solver with a deep understanding of the technical challenges that arise from developing on multiple platforms?
We are seeking an expert level Lead Build Engineer to define and implement continuous integration systems that support the software engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the build team as well as clearly communicating technology designs and decisions within the team. You will develop and implement automated build and deployment pipelines for our development, testing and production environments.
What you’ll do
- Directly manage and supervise a team of build and release engineers
- Build system automation and tools that are flexible across multiple software products and operating systems
- Create and support daily builds and deployments for multiple projects (live and under development).
- Collaborate with team members across business units to come up with creative solutions to challenging obstacles.
- Fix build/deployment problems that occur via code and/or configuration management
- Update and maintain build and deployment configuration.
- Contribute to the maintenance of the source code repository.
- Evaluate, define, implement, document and operate our tools and best practices for build, deployment and release
- Continuously improve reliability, scalability and performance of build systems
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading and coaching hardworking software developers
- 5+ years of experience in build and deployment technologies
- 3+ years working with C#, .NET and scripting languages such as: PowerShell, NAnt
- Experience with Unity, Python, Perforce, Jenkins or related tools
- You are proactive with the ability to write readable code, problem solve and debug.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills and proven ability to work with diverse groups of people in various roles
