Lead Audio Designer

What we need:

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Audio Designer who can help us create emotionally compelling & technically sophisticated audio experiences for our AAA multi-platform game. In this role, you will be the primary communication & strategies bridge between the Audio department and various stakeholders to help establish exceptional quality audio content that matches the look, feel, and style of gameplay. Your day-to-day include partnering with Development Managers to set the strategy and timelines for audio execution, enforcing best practices and content quality benchmarks within the Audio team, deep collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless implementation, and working closely with studio leadership in setting project scope and vision.

What You Will Do:

• Work with development partners to set Audio team priorities, scope, timelines, and execution details.
• Champion the game’s audio vision in collaboration with Creative Direction, Design, and Leadership.
• Be the voice of “audio excellence” in guiding a team of Audio Designers to deliver grade-A content.
• Effortlessly navigates audio editing software, WWise, and Unreal Editor to create and integrate best-in-class audio.
• Manage and lead partnerships with external audio resources (Composers, vendors, VO, etc.).
• Compile and manage flawless Audio team documentation to ensure smooth new-member onboarding as well as day-to-day execution.

Who We Think Would Be A Great Fit:

Our ideal candidate thrives on leading a team to deliver first-rate audio for large game experiences. This person craves collaboration, clarity, and constant communication inside and outside their team, and is excited by the process of turning ambiguity into excellence. We also expect this person has experience working in various surround formats, a minimum of 5 years experience as an audio designer in the gaming industry (or related field), and has shipped at least one AAA title in a Senior Audio Designer capacity (multi-platform experience preferred). A passion for your craft with an inherent desire to learn and grow while sharing your knowledge and expertise with others is the type of team-member that will thrive at our studio.
