Your role

The role of the Lead Cinematic Designer is to lead a team of talented Cinematic Designers in delivering AAA quality cinematics. The Lead Cinematic Designer is responsible for planning, organizing, following-up and evaluating the work of the Cinematic Team members to ensure that they meet the production objectives in terms of time and quality. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of how gameplay and cinematics work together to tell a cohesive story, a good understanding of gameplay pacing and mechanics as well as a good sense of cinematography.

Your daily adventure

LEAD THE CINEMATIC DESIGNERS TEAM
In the development of AAA quality cinematics and be a gatekeeper for performance, efficiency, and quality

COMMUNICATE AND WORK CLOSELY
With Content Directors/Leads/Designers to translate scene scripts into captivating cinematics and integrate them within gameplay

FACILITATE AN EFFICIENT COLLABORATION
Between their team members and other dependent teams

CREATE AND MAINTAIN
Documentation and effective informational flow to ensure all team members involved are aligned with the production objectives

SHARE KNOWLEDGE AND COLLABORATE
With Technical Leads/Designers in order to improve the quality of the tools and production

GUIDE THE CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Of the other Cinematic Designers through understanding of their needs and regular exchange of feedback

PARTICIPATE IN THE ASSESSING, ALLOCATION AND SCHEDULING
Of their team’s workload

Qualifications

Your skills

KNOWLEDGE
Minimum 3+ years of experience working in the video games or films industry as an Artist, Animator, Designer or any other related job
Solid understanding of cinematography, acting and character animation
Experience with 3D animation software (MoBu, Blender, etc.)

PLANNING AND TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS
Excellent organizational skills
Problem solving and ability to quickly adapt to production changes

DRIVE AND ENTHUSIASM
Excellent leadership and people skills
Able to drive change and inspire others to generate new ideas
Enthusiasm and desire for long term development in a management role

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent communication skills and teamwork-oriented attitude
Empathetic and with ability to work with people from other fields of expertise

ADVANTAGES
Experience with AAA game engines/editors (such as Unreal, Unity, etc.)
Experience in other game dev areas (Quest/Level/Character Design, etc.)
