We are seeking an expert Senior Lead Artist to lead and empower a team of dedicated 3D Artists in delivering engaging characters, worlds and AAA quality assets. This position entails a phenomenal deal of responsibility and opportunity to drive further the development of a strong team with your artistic, technical and managerial expertise. This role is to plan, coordinate, follow-up and evaluate their work to ensure that they meet the production objectives in terms of time and quality. The Lead Artist is required to anticipate and find solutions on the team and production level in order to deliver a spectacular visual experience for Dungeons And Dragons!
What You'll Do:
- Lead artistic team in development of AAA quality environments and characters.
- Assist with scheduling of their part of the project and maintain planning foresight.
- Provide regular review and feedback on teams work in a clear and constructive manner.
- Encourage creativity and participation from all team members.
- Maintain efficient teamwork between the team members and other dependent teams.
- Collaborate with the Art Director in delivering the development and execution of the vision.
- Help establish, and grow the visual and technical style guides.
- Actively participate to the constant improvement of work methods and pipelines.
- Ensure that produced and delivered assets respect the artistic vision of the game and meet the quality standards.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in the industry.
- Experience in team leadership and management.
- Extensive portfolio with examples of professional work (e.g. concepts, in-engine examples, in-game final products, etc.).
- Knowledge of 3D software (3DS Max, Zbrush, etc.).
- Sophisticated expertise of at least 1 field in the art pipeline (Technical, Concept or Modeling).
- Shipped 1 or more AAA title from start to finish as a Lead or Art Director.
- Excellent communication skills, especially with regards to illustrating pipeline processes.
- Illustration of ability to deliver assets in a range of various styles and applications.
- Interest and understanding in visual design outside of your field. (e.g. graphic design, environment design, etc.).
- Has trained or mentored others.
