The Position

Avalanche Studios are looking for an enthusiastic and exceptionally skilled Lead Artist to join the team on an unannounced AAA project in development.

You will report to the Art Director and be part of the project leadership team. Creatively, you will be hands-on, and lend your expertise in art to help make decisions towards a cohesive visual style for the overall project. You will also be collaborating across disciplines working with design, technical artists, production and code teams.

The Lead Artist will be responsible for assigning work, giving input and feedback, performing reviews, and closely working with the Art Director & Production on estimates and planning. You will also occasionally work in the editor & tools as a part of the wider Art team with implementing assets, and working towards building the overall visual style and aesthetic of the game experience.

The team is moderately sized, which will give you a great opportunity to influence the end product, while at the same time requiring you to push the boundaries of your discipline when needed. Your expertise and knowledge of how different teams connect in the development pipeline, and how to tie assets together in a visually exciting and innovative way, is critical. You will play an instrumental and leading role in a small but strong team, making high quality game experiences. If you are a person who likes being challenged and stimulated in an ambitious and talented environment: this position will suit you perfectly!
